How do I create an account?

Creating an account is simple:

  1. Click "Download App" and install the Fordie Exchange mobile application
  2. Open the app and tap "Sign Up"
  3. Enter your phone number and verify with the OTP code
  4. Complete your profile with basic information (name, email, date of birth)
  5. Verify your identity by uploading a government-issued ID and taking a selfie
  6. Set up your security PIN and you're ready to start trading!

Is verification mandatory?

Yes, KYC (Know Your Customer) verification is mandatory for all users. This is required by financial regulations and helps us maintain a secure platform. Verification typically takes 5-15 minutes and involves uploading a valid ID document and a selfie for facial recognition. Once verified, you can enjoy unlimited trading with higher transaction limits.

Can I have multiple accounts?

No, each individual is allowed only one account per phone number and email address. Creating multiple accounts violates our Terms of Service and may result in account suspension. If you need a business account in addition to a personal account, please contact our business support team at business@fordieexchange.com.

How do I reset my password or PIN?

For password reset:

  1. Click "Forgot Password" on the login screen
  2. Enter your registered email or phone number
  3. You'll receive a reset link via email or SMS
  4. Click the link and create a new password

For PIN reset:

  1. Log into your account
  2. Go to Settings > Security > Reset PIN
  3. Verify your identity with OTP
  4. Set a new 6-digit PIN

Can I cancel or reverse a transaction?

Due to the irreversible nature of cryptocurrency transactions, once a transaction is confirmed on the blockchain, it cannot be reversed. However, if you made an error (wrong amount, wrong currency, etc.) and haven't sent the cryptocurrency yet, you can cancel the transaction from your dashboard. If you've already sent the crypto, please contact support immediately with your transaction details. While we cannot guarantee a reversal, we'll do our best to assist based on the specific circumstances.

Technical Issues

My transaction is pending for too long. What should I do?

If your transaction is taking longer than expected:

  1. Check the blockchain confirmation status in your transaction history
  2. Verify the network isn't experiencing congestion (use blockchain explorers)
  3. Ensure you sent to the correct wallet address
  4. Wait for at least 3 blockchain confirmations (usually 15-45 minutes)
  5. If still pending after 2 hours, contact support with your transaction hash

Our system automatically processes transactions once confirmed on the blockchain. Delays are usually due to network congestion, not our platform.

The app won't let me login. What's wrong?

Common login issues and solutions:

  • Wrong credentials: Use "Forgot Password" to reset
  • Account locked: Too many failed attempts - wait 30 minutes or contact support
  • App outdated: Update to the latest version from app store
  • Network issues: Check your internet connection
  • Server maintenance: Check our status page or social media for updates

I sent crypto to the wrong address. Can you help?

Unfortunately, cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible once confirmed on the blockchain. If you sent crypto to the wrong address, we cannot reverse or recover the funds. This is a fundamental characteristic of blockchain technology, not a limitation of our platform. Always double-check the recipient address before confirming any transaction. We recommend sending a small test amount first for large transactions. If the wrong address belongs to another Fordie Exchange user, contact support and we may be able to facilitate a return, but this depends on the other user's cooperation.
